Our policy for weather-related cancellations and closures is for the safety and well-being of the staff, volunteers and participants in our many activities, including Sunday worship. We are aware that holding church activities when roadways are hazardous may endanger the staff and volunteers who travel in order to help lead such activities, as well as those who may choose to participate. Accordingly, our policy is always to put safety first.
Level One Snow Emergency: Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be icy. Motorists are urged to drive very cautiously.
During a Level One Snow Emergency, church functions, including Sunday worship, weekday Bible Study, etc. will be held. Please use your best judgment concerning your attendance.
Level Two Snow Emergency: Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be very icy. Only those who feel it is necessary to drive should be out on the roads. Contact your employer to see if you should report to work. Motorists should use extreme caution.
When a Level Two Snow Emergency is in effect at or after 8:00 a.m. on a Sunday, any subsequent church activities that are scheduled for that day are canceled. Even if the conditions improve during the day, this cancellation remains in effect all day.
When a Level Two Snow Emergency is in effect at or after 8:00 a.m. on a weekday, any subsequent church activities that are scheduled for that day are canceled. Even if the conditions improve during the day, this cancellation remains in effect all day.
Level Three Snow Emergency: All roadways are closed to non-emergency personnel. No one should be driving during these conditions unless it is absolutely necessary to travel or a personal emergency exists. All employees should contact their employer to see if they should report to work. Those traveling on the roads may subject themselves to arrest.
When a Level Three Snow Emergency is in effect at or after 8:00 a.m. on any morning, all activities that day are canceled and the church is closed.

Tornado Watch: A tornado watch (issued by the Storm Prediction Center) indicates that conditions are favorable for the formation of tornadoes.

Tornado Warning: A tornado warning means there is immediate danger for the area under the warning and the immediately surrounding area—if not from the tornado itself then from the severe thunderstorm producing (or likely to produce) it. All in the path of such a storm are urged to take cover immediately, as it is a life-threatening situation.

Flood Watch: A flood watch is issued by the National Weather Service when conditions are favorable for flooding, usually when grounds are already saturated from recent rains, or when upcoming rains will have the potential to cause a flood.

Flood Warning: A flood warning is issued when a flood is imminent or occurring in the warned area.
When a Flood Warning is in effect at or after 8:00 a.m. on a Sunday, any subsequent church activities that are scheduled for that day are canceled. Even if the conditions improve during the day, this cancellation remains in effect all day.
