Financial Support

.
If your funds are limited, you are not alone!
.
.
Recent studies have shown that the typical American has available just 9% of his or her net worth in cash while the other 91% of his or her assets are tied up in a home, life insurance, IRAs and so on.
Described in the sections that follow, are some ways you can give without calling on the 9% of your assets that are currently available in cash.
.
Absolutely!
.
.
Not only do such activities raise money to support our ministries, they also provide ways for people to work together, to make friends, and to introduce people to the life of the church.
We’d love to hear your fund-raising ideas!
In fact, here is a way you can help raise funds right now. Click here to see how to use “GoodSearch” when you search the web or shop via the web. The University Church can receive a contribution every single time you perform a search!
.
Yes you can.
.
.
Donations from bank accounts or credit cards can be made directly from our web site via a secure server. Simply click here to get started.
Alternatively, you can complete the form found in our “Electronic Giving” brochure which is available from the church office, on our information table on Sundays, or for download as a pdf file here.

One of the best ways to help support The University Church is to make a gift of appreciated stock.
There may be significant tax advantages to a donor and such a gift comes not from the 9% of assets held as cash, but from the 91% that are usually inaccessible.
In order to make a gift of appreciated stock, please contact our pastor who will connect you with our broker.
Guidance from a professional financial planner is also available.
.
When a person dies without a will it can cause no end of trouble for their loved ones.
.
.
We encourage you to think about your estate and beneficiaries while you are healthy and can plan thoughtfully.
Part of your estate planning might include a bequest to The University Church. An annuity may provide an avenue for support that fits your financial plan.
We would be happy to assist you with the guidance of a professional financial advisor. Contact our pastor for more information.
If you have wondered if there is a way to make your money keep on working, then consider an endowment gift.
.
.
An endowment gift is invested such that the return on investment is used to support the ministries of the church while the capital remains invested.
Over a long time horizon, an endowment will typically generate 5-6% of usable income every year without the principal being depleted. Such a gift continues to support the ministries of the church indefinitely. Our pastor will be pleased to discuss endowment opportunities with you.
